HDMGS conducts financial audits involving potential misuse of federal funds and potential fraud, waste, and abuse involving federal programs.

Under government programs certain entities receiving payments are subject to cost report audits. We conduct cost report audits based on financial and statistical records in order to ensure that program payments were made on the basis of allowable cost of covered services and ensures the reliability of information reported on the cost report.

Our audit approach is based on published regulations outlining the requirements and basis for compliance. We use generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS) issued by the Comptroller General of the United States and the U. S. General Accountability Office (GAO) “Yellow Book,: as guidelines, generally accepted auditing standards issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and applicable professional standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.
